Julie's Coming Home!!

After three long months I am very proud to announce that as I type this blog JULIE IS ON HER WAY HOME!! She was suppose to be here Friday but had some delays in leaving, but she is now on her way!! She will be here for about two weeks for some very much needed R&R!! For those of you that don't know Julie and I have been best friends since we were 6 years old. We have been through everything together, through good and bad and I can't imagine spending the last 16 (almost 17) years without Julie in my life!! I have missed her like crazy since she left to go to Iraq and I am so glad she is on her way home!! I missed her when she was gone to boot camp, AIT training, and then stationed in Colorado of course, but at least I could pick up the phone and call her. Besides my family she is the person that knows me best and there have been so many times since she's been deployed that I have wanted and needed to pick up the phone and call her for advice or just to talk!!

Jules I can't wait to see you and am so glad you're coming home!! I can't wait until you are home for good, but for now we will take two weeks!! I am so proud of you!! LYLAS!!

Easter & 3 Day & Counting!

We had a great Easter! We went to my grandparent's Saturday afternoon for lunch and had a great time! We also decided to take Aaron down to the lake for a walk and he seemed to really like it, now if I could just find a way to get Kim to let me put him on the jet ski! ;) We (well more Kim than anyone else) decided to go to church on Saturday night (the church we go to...The Crossing...has Saturday night services as well as regular Sunday services) and it was great. Sunday we went over to Kim's and had lunch with my mom's dad and step mom and had a great time! Aaron got his first tastes of cheesecake and LOVED it! I was the one that was brave enough to give it to him! I kept telling him two bites for Aunt Kelly and one bite for you and each time I would take a bite, he would look at me like hey where's my bite! Needless to say he did not want the baby food that mom tried to feed him later!

In other news JULIE WILL BE HERE IN THREE DAYS!! She is coming home for R&R and I can not wait to see her! I have missed her like crazy and can't wait to spend some much needed best friend time together! Jules I love ya and have missed you like crazy!!

Also Brian is at an Aeros hockey game with some customers tonight...must be nice! While I am at home working on homework all night!

Rodeo & Anniversary

It's been awhile since I've psoted, because Brian and I have been so busy!! Busy definitely describes the last week of our lives.
Last Tuesday we took my lil bubba to the rodeo with us as our Christmas present to him. We went to see Rascal Flatts & had a great time! Needless to say we had no repeats of last year when we left the lights on resulting in a dead battery and locked keys in the car! Kim and her friend Julie had way better seats than we did and we were jealous, but we still had a great time! Rascal Flatts is by far one of my very favorite groups!!

This past Friday was me and Brian's 1 year anniversary of being together! We had a pretty good day, considering what a crazy week it had been. We had tickets to go see Clay Walker at the rodeo with Brian's bank. We had a great time and I must say that I was jealous of the people that got to touch Clay Walker's hand, but hey I have gotten to touch Brad Paisley's hand twice and got his autograph! I must say that I feel bad because I still haven't gotten Brian anything for our annivesary, well except for a card, but he's harder to buy for than I am. He did surprise me last night with a beautiful necklace!

Also last weekend we went to take my ring to the jewlers to have it cleaned and inspected and while we were there we happened to find the ring that Brian loved and we bought it! It is beautiful and I can't wait to give it to him. Though I must say that when he tried it on I didn't know if he was going to get it off and thought he may just have to keep it on until the big day!

This week has been so crazy because Brian's dad's boss (who is more like a grandpa) to Brian passed away this past Tuesday, and Brian has made several trips since then to his parent's house (which is about 2.5 hours from here!). It has made for a crazy week, but I am glad that Brian was able to be with his dad and Mr. Emerson's family. I hadn't known him long, but it won't be the same going to Brian's parent's house and not stopping in at the ranch to say hi. He will be greatly missed!

1 YEAR FROM TODAY!!

Exactly one year from today I will marry my best friend and the man of my dreams!! Today is a very special day for Brian and I!! Everyone has told me how fast the next year will go and I am sure that it will, especially with as busy as we are with our jobs and me with school. Hopefully by the end of the summer I will have my wedding dress bought!! We still have some planning to do (if you want to check out the place check out one of my first posts for the link) and some money to come up with, but I know that everthing will fall into place!! We are blessed to have wonderful families and friends to share in this amazing journey with and are both blessed to be marrying into great families!! The only thing that makes me sad is the thought that Julie may still be in Iraq and not here for my wedding.

I LOVE YOU BRIAN AND I CAN'T WAIT TO MARRY YOU!! XOXO!!
