Rodeo & Anniversary

It's been awhile since I've psoted, because Brian and I have been so busy!! Busy definitely describes the last week of our lives.
Last Tuesday we took my lil bubba to the rodeo with us as our Christmas present to him. We went to see Rascal Flatts & had a great time! Needless to say we had no repeats of last year when we left the lights on resulting in a dead battery and locked keys in the car! Kim and her friend Julie had way better seats than we did and we were jealous, but we still had a great time! Rascal Flatts is by far one of my very favorite groups!!

This past Friday was me and Brian's 1 year anniversary of being together! We had a pretty good day, considering what a crazy week it had been. We had tickets to go see Clay Walker at the rodeo with Brian's bank. We had a great time and I must say that I was jealous of the people that got to touch Clay Walker's hand, but hey I have gotten to touch Brad Paisley's hand twice and got his autograph! I must say that I feel bad because I still haven't gotten Brian anything for our annivesary, well except for a card, but he's harder to buy for than I am. He did surprise me last night with a beautiful necklace!

Also last weekend we went to take my ring to the jewlers to have it cleaned and inspected and while we were there we happened to find the ring that Brian loved and we bought it! It is beautiful and I can't wait to give it to him. Though I must say that when he tried it on I didn't know if he was going to get it off and thought he may just have to keep it on until the big day!

This week has been so crazy because Brian's dad's boss (who is more like a grandpa) to Brian passed away this past Tuesday, and Brian has made several trips since then to his parent's house (which is about 2.5 hours from here!). It has made for a crazy week, but I am glad that Brian was able to be with his dad and Mr. Emerson's family. I hadn't known him long, but it won't be the same going to Brian's parent's house and not stopping in at the ranch to say hi. He will be greatly missed!
